A Time for Adventure: Breitling Unveils TOP TIME DEUS and TOP TIME TRIUMPH Watches

Breitling is synonymous with precision, innovation and a bold spirit, constantly pushing the boundaries of watchmaking with its latest products. The TOP TIME DEUS and TOP TIME TRIUMPH watches embody Breitling’s commitment to adventurous pursuits, capturing the essence of exploration and excitement. In this blog, we will explore the functionality and design elements of these timepieces that make them a must-have for enthusiasts looking for the perfect blend of style and functionality.

Breitling’s cooperation with Deus Ex Machina and Triumph Motorcycles has been upgraded again, introducing Breitling’s self-made 01 movement.

Breitling launched the two latest products in its Top Time series at the Wheels & Waves surf and motorcycle festival in Biarritz, France. The brand’s “unusual chronograph” was first launched in the 1960s, and its bold design style paid tribute to the free and unrestrained spirit of the times. Today, this racing chronograph retains a strong imprint of the series while adding elements of motorcycles, vintage cars and a spirit of road adventure.

The latest two copy watches are launched based on the previous successful cooperation between Breitling, Deus Ex Machina and Triumph Motorcycles. They also introduce Breitling’s self-made 01 movement with excellent performance, pushing the cooperation to a new level.

“These co-branded Top Time watches are designed for those who are equally fascinated by the mechanics of watches and the mechanics of motorcycles.” said Breitling CEO Georges Kern. “Breitling Caliber 01 is A finely tuned engine is built with the same attention to detail and precision that goes into building a perfect motorcycle.”

Cool black style watches are coming again: Top Time Deus watch

Following the sell-out success of two limited-edition timepieces, Breitling, in collaboration with the Australian custom motorcycle and surf gear brand Deus Ex Machina, has unveiled the third iteration – the Top Time Deus watch. This latest release marks its integration into the core Breitling collection.

Diverging from the vibrant color schemes of its predecessors, this new fake watch features a sleek design with a black dial, contrasting white sub-dials, and a tachymeter scale, creating a distinct visual contrast. The timepiece offers the choice of a black racing-themed calf leather strap or a stainless steel mesh bracelet. A subtle touch of red embellishes the outer rim of the dial, while, akin to the two previous Top Time Deus watches, the central chronograph hand resembles a vivid red lightning bolt, adding a dynamic and lifelike element.

Powered by Breitling’s in-house Caliber 01 movement, the watch boasts a transparent sapphire crystal case back adorned with a red Deus logo at the center.

This latest addition to the Top Time Deus series not only continues the successful collaboration between Breitling and Deus Ex Machina but also reinforces its status by becoming an integral part of Breitling’s core collection.

Collision of Ice and Fire: Top Time Triumph Watch

Top Time Series B01 Triumph Watch

In 2022, Breitling will cooperate with the prestigious British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph for the first time. At the beginning of the cooperation, the two major brands launched a Breitling Speed Twin Limited Edition and two versions of the Top Time Triumph watch (Top Time Triumph): one is exclusively for Triumph motorcycle owners and is limited to 270 one; the other is for all watch fans.

Both cloned timepieces are equipped with a unique ice blue dial, a unique hue that is consistent with the 1951 Triumph Thunderbird 6T motorcycle (Triumph Thunderbird 6T) and the particularly rare ice blue dial Breitling Top Time 815 from the 1970s. The top time watch (Top Time Ref. 815) is exactly the same.

This year’s Top Time Triumph watch has now become part of Breitling’s core series. The newly upgraded Top Time Triumph watch is equipped with Breitling’s self-made 01 movement. The fine structure of the movement is clearly visible through the new transparent bottom design. The dial uses a dual subdial display with a tachymeter scale for calculating speed, and is printed with the Breitling and Triumph logos at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock. This eye-catching ice blue watch can be paired with a black racing-themed calfskin strap or a stainless steel braided bracelet.

Watch collectors are sure to catch some hints of vintage Breitling models, including vintage logos, mushroom-shaped chronograph pushers and “Zorro” dial designs. Breitling has cleverly integrated the bow tie pattern (named after the famous knight mask) introduced in Top Time in the 1960s through the metal brushing process, making it visible only under certain lights.

Master Chronograph: Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01

Breitling’s masterpiece chronograph movement was first launched in 2009 and was designed from scratch based on more than a century of professional watchmaking experience. Today, it has become the industry standard in the field of chronograph movements, both in terms of functionality and aesthetics.

The 01 movement uses a column wheel system, which is one of the hallmarks of high-end mechanical chronograph movements, and is also equipped with a longitudinal clutch to make it operate accurately and smoothly. The power reserve of this movement is approximately 70 hours, while non-manufactured movements usually only have a power reserve of 38 to 48 hours. Its clever modular design makes cleaning and repairs easier, as specific areas of the movement can be accessed without the need for complete disassembly.

Breitling is so confident in the quality of its in-house movements that it offers a 5-year warranty (2 years for non-in-house movements).

This is because they need to go through a strict quality control process. The movement took 10 months to produce and passed thousands of tests before it could obtain the Swiss Official Chronometer Certification (COSC). In addition, Breitling also conducted 16 years of accelerated aging testing on its self-made movement, including impact testing (approximately 60,000 500-gram impacts), crown testing (more than 100,000 crown windings), and oscillating weight winding. (3.456 million oscillating weight rotations) and chronograph button test (approximately 5840 “start, stop, zero return” engagements). Only after passing the test can a Breitling watch be released from the chronometer workshop.

“Placing the Breitling 01 movement into the Top Time series demonstrates the high importance we attach to in-house watchmaking craftsmanship and expertise.” Cohen said, “Please continue to pay attention to the future development of the Breitling Precision Timepiece Workshop. The show is beginning.”
